Hey there! I’m Claire – self-proclaimed Disney expert, Star Wars and SciFi nerd, foodie, and fashion/lifestyle blogger. I love to travel, plan, design Pinterest-worthy parties, cook, and spend time with family. My style is comfort casual chic. (Think Joanna Gaines.) When it comes to fashion, I don’t have time for fussy or high maintenance. I need pieces that make me feel cute and comfy at the same time, and effortlessly transition from Converse and a ball cap to booties and chunky jewelry.
Basically, I’m just a broad trying to enjoy life a little more and work a little less. With a busy family, a household to manage, and a growing business – some days feel like I’m barely staying afloat! I am always looking for ways to “work smarter not harder”, in every aspect of life. I would love to have you join me on this ride.
The Sisterhood Mission
Part of my mission with this business is to build a “sisterhood”. To me, this means community, lifting up one another, and empowerment over judgement and comparison. This idea not only influenced the branding of my business, but also in the way that I conduct it. Some might say sisterhood has no place in business, but I couldn’t disagree more. What I offer is a tribe for busy working women and moms, a nurturing place to learn about fashion (and beyond), and retail therapy without high-pressure sales tactics. I want to help women find their style, and realize the joy and confidence that comes from that.
Since I know that most women are like me…usually juggling ten things at once, shouldering too much responsibility, and always searching for more hours in the day…I’m here to share my tips and tricks, one blog post at a time. After all, that’s what sisters do!
In addition to helping other busy women look and feel great, I work hard to create a relationship-based approach to my business. I strive to provide valuable content, a supportive and empowering community, and of course, a lot of fun along the way!
Why the Flamingo?
At an early age I began to visit my beloved Grandparents in their new winter location of sunny Florida. As a New Yorker, I instantly fell in love – the heat and sunshine, palm trees, hibiscus flowers, the smell of orange blossoms, and most importantly, the flamingos! I identify with their awkward grace and loyalty, and to me they symbolize love.
