Today we’re excited to review three of the new LuLaRoe styles announced in July at Vision 2017 (our annual retailer convention). We could not be happier with these new pieces! Here I’ll discuss the cut and fit, fabrics, and patterns we received in our first order. (For reference, I’m a size 10/12 and 5’5″.)
New LuLaRoe Style: Shirley
First up is the Shirley, a long and flowy kimono with angel sleeves and a lapel that sort of ribbons upon itself to create beautiful waves of fabric. And speaking of the fabrics! Chiffons (as seen here), and laces, and haccis (sweater knits), oh my! I layered my new Shirley over a solid black Carly with a heathered gray sleeve and pocket. I felt glamorous, even though I was playing it casual in my Roman sandal flats, a bangle bracelet, and natural makeup.
This Shirley is a Medium, and I loved the fit. I also tried on the Small which definitely fit, though a little tighter in the arms.
Next I’ll show the GiGi and Lynnae, both size Large. I love how I was able to try on the same size, which really highlights the differences between these two styles.
New LuLaRoe Style: GiGi
The GiGi is the new fitted top, which consists of the top half of the Julia dress pattern. This top boasts a higher neckline, elbow length sleeves, and a fitted bodice that is short in comparison to most other LuLaRoe tops. The lack of a high-low hemline also sets it apart from the others.
I love the way the Large fits, which is just about true to size for me. Just as we often recommend with the Julia, you can size up with this top. I tried on both an XL and 2XL and also loved the look! The extra fabric even allowed me to throw in a knot at the bottom.
New LuLaRoe Style: Lynnae
The Lynnae is LuLaRoe’s very first long-sleeved top! Boasting the exact same pattern as the Classic T, this top features a lower scooped neck, and a flowy yet hourglass tailored bodice with a high-low hemline. My true to size fit would be a Medium, and I could recognize the extra room in the Large. That doesn’t stop it from looking great, though! Which is exactly why we always recommend shopping by color and pattern first. There are so many techniques to styling, some of which even requiring a looser fit.
New LuLaRoe Style Summary
We’re so excited about every one of these new styles. The Shirley is flowy and luxurious. The GiGi is edgier and of course, so versatile. And as New Yorkers, I think we’re most excited about the warmth and coziness of the Lynnae – not that we want to start thinking about layering or winter just yet!
We have some outfits including these new styles posted in an album sale in our Facebook Group right now. Please feel free to stop in and check them out. We’d love to see you there!XOXO -- Claire
